## aesthetic issues

short forms (> 2 minutes) appeal to me not only because i have been exposed to (television) advertising since birth, but also because i want to be respectful of a listener's time.

the notion of machines sounding as machines has been in my mind since reading about éliane radigue and her ARP 2500.

## "severe" stereo

the audio from the te po m400 is mono, and yet i knew i would release stereofiles. eventually, i began mixing in (what i'll call) "severe stereo:" a method in which the two stereo channels are given (completely) different material (like early beatles).

headphone listeners may find this particularly disorienting.
